Fruit Juices (less than 100% juice)

Fruit juice can be a refreshing and nutritious drink when made from whole fruits. However, many commercially available fruit juices can contain added ingredients that may detract from their nutritional value, making careful selection important.

1. Primary Ingredient: Choose juices that use whole fruits instead of concentrates. Concentrates are often less nutritious due to the processing they undergo.

2. Water: Avoid juices where water is listed as the first ingredient, as this indicates the product is more diluted.

3. Added Sugars: Avoid added sugars under the name of sugar, fructose, and others.

4. Sweeteners: Avoid juices with any natural or artificial sweeteners like stevia, maltitol, or aspartame.

5. Additives: Avoid fruits which have artificial colours like INS110, INS102, INS122, INS133, INS134, INS171, stabilizers, and others.

Opt for those made directly from whole fruits without added water, sugars, or sweeteners.
