Dairy, Non Dairy whiteners

Dairy whiteners, such as powdered milk or liquid creamers, and non-dairy whiteners, which often use plant-based ingredients like soy, almond, or coconut, are used to enhance the flavor and texture of beverages like coffee and tea. Both types offer a variety of flavor profiles and can cater to different dietary needs and preferences.

1. Ingredient List: Pay attention to the list of ingredients, especially for non-dairy whiteners, which can contain various additives to simulate the creaminess of dairy.

2. Nutritional Content: Dairy whiteners are typically rich in calcium and vitamins, whereas non-dairy whiteners may lack these unless fortified.

3. Dietary Restrictions: Choose based on dietary needs—dairy whiteners for those without lactose intolerance, and non-dairy for vegans or those allergic to milk proteins.

When purchasing dairy or non-dairy whiteners, opt for products with minimal added sugars (ideally less than 5g per serving) and low sodium (below 140 mg per serving). Look for products with few and recognizable ingredients, and avoid those with high levels of artificial additives.
