Choose the Best Unsweetened Nut Butters


Nut butter offer a healthier alternative to many jams and spreads as it is packed with protein and healthy fats.



1. Main ingredients: Look for just 100% Nuts . like roasted or baked versions.


2. Sugar: Avoid sugars, check for hidden sugars like jaggery powder, honey or molasses.


3. Protein content: A good quality Nut butter should provide around 7-8 grams of protein per serving


4. Additives: Avoid Nut butters with additives like mono and diglcerides of fatty acids - E471, sodium sorbate - INS201, soy lecithin - INS322, and others.


5. Oil separation: Natural nut butters may show oil separation, with oil floating at the top. This is normal and can be stirred back in.


Look for a product made with 100% roasted peanuts. Skip the extras like sugar, additives, and flavors. Aim for 7-8g protein per serving to get satiated.
